I just received a ZAP 400. I took the tail boom apart and found that it had a carbon tail rotor drive shaft and 3 ball bearings. Based on the postings here - this is an improvement.

One thing is for sure they didn't improve is the manual - it's terrible. I did download the Evo Flight Shogun 400 manual. With that and this forum, I've been able to put the ZAP together.

My shogun came 2 weeks ago the same way as yours has, only wish they would improve the build quality of the main frame, had to file it down loads for main gear and to fit new motor.....

Consider getting the Sparrow aluminum shaft; the carbon one will break --- without warning --- where the hex machining starts the for the input gear, usually after 10-20 hours of flight.
