I was just curious. I'm trying to hook up a jr 6102 and a jr 9303. Is this connection possible and how hard is it to setup. I'm trying to get my wife flying and needed some info on the connections and setup. Thanks in advance guys.

We tried to link up a jr 3810 and 9303 and could not get it to work. The problem came in with the transfer of the heli set-up data from 1 radio to the other. It gave errors so we stopped trying. I think it had to do with the pitch and throttle curves that has got more points on the 9303. Think you will have the same problem with 6102 to 9303.
Maybe if you set-up the heli on both radios manually you could give it a try.

We have used 3810 to 3810 before and works quite well.

Enjoy!!

I was thinking that might be a problem but I'll go ahead and give it a try. So when you buddy up with someone both transmitters have to have the same heli setup. I've never done this before so I don't know. Thanks for the info.

Ubie,

you can only transfer data between identical sets... 9X - 9X, 9303 - 9303, 3810 -3810 etc etc unless you use a 3rd party device to convert the data streams.

With the 9303 / 9X, they use a totally different style of data and as such would not be recognised.

See the rotorsoft ad at the main page, that does the relevant conversions etc for all sets upto the 9X ( that support data transfer ) and it will hopefully be working on the 9303 within the next few weeks.

But going back to the original query, yes it will work, the cable is a "standard" mono - mono 3.5mm cable. However, check that you get the correct connector as there are minor differences in manufacture and can cause mis-connections. Worse case is that the shank is too long and as you force the connector home on the DSC connector, it damages the back wall of the fixed connector.
