Hello all,

I'm using the futaba 3001 servos everywhere (not the tail). They are just about the cheapest i could find. I'm now doing 3d flight (my interpretation of it ) and i am worried about the elevator and pitch servos. They get a real hammering going from full neg pitch to full positive and i am concerned that one day one will fail in flight. Has anybody got any idea how long these servos should last on a 30v2.

Thanks

they will last longer then the heli will. mine lasted a whole year without any problems, i just decided to upgrade. very trusty servos, the performance is poor but the reliability is top notch.
They get a real hammering
they will take the hammering all day long, i flew mine hard too, and that was in a r50.

as long as you set them up correctly with no binding they will last ages, no need to worry about them failing mate.

put them in and fly.

mine have over 300flights in a r30v1, still using the same old 3001 on throttle and cyclic. Had 3001 on pitch doing basic aerobatics with no problem. So don't worry too much.

well i started out with a nexus with s148's,which are almost the same but no bearing in the upper case.
after a year they got sloppy and i replaced the tops for five bucks a piece and converted to 3001's.
i now have them in my hawk(dare i say that here?)
i have ran them for a year in the hawk and they are still fine, even lasted through at least 7 or eight wrecks in the last two years.
i have burned about fifteen gallons with them and still going strong.
hope that helps.

I ran 148's on my Rappy 30 v1 for 8 months. Everything from hovering to mild 3d. Like everyone else says, your servos will last for quite awhile on a 30.
