Try heating it up the pinion with a soldering iron and prying it off with needle nose pliers or screwdrivers.

Let's bring back survival of the fitest.

Tom,

I'd get a pinion puller, they are inexpensive and last forever.

I have tried the heat/cold methods in the past and just ended up destroying two motors and pinions before I decided to spend a few pounds on a puller.

the pinion puller is about the same price as 1 or 2 new 300 can motors, and a LOT less than an expensive brushless!

if the pinion is loctited on, heat will do it. if its pressed you need a puller, or a thin peice of metal, like a putty knife or scraper blade, with a slot cut in it to put on top of a vise with the jaws open wide enough to hang the motor in, slide the shaft into the slot, and hammer a pin through the top of the pinion to push the shaft and motor out.

If your not planning on re-using the pinion, get a big pair of pliers and squish the pinion, itll come right off.

I got tired of wrecking pinions and got a puller (9.95 USD) from lightflight. Works like a charm.

if its superglued, heat it with a lighter and pull it off by prying gently underneath it with needle nose pliers. superglue releases with heat the same as loctite.
