I've got a colco thunderbird and The rear rotor motor started acting funny today. It will turn the helicopter laft and right when it is idling on the ground but when I get it in the air, the motor wont turn the heli right any more it will just sit there, and once in a while it will start turning randomly in one directing I've tried adjusting the speed control gain for it but it isn't working. Does anyone know what to do? Any knowledge or wisdom would mean a great deal thanks.

Is the rear motor spinning? Does it have enough power to keep the tail in the same place? Your motor could be burned out or the pinion gear may be slipping? Could be a lot of different things. Do you have a proportional screw on your mixer board?

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I have two mixer screws wich makes it all the more complicated and it's a bran new motor so I dont thing it is burned out. And if I get one screw the right way the motor will go really fast so its got plenty of power so the gear is also not slipping. I just can't get it right though it's weird. Thanks for the advise! I really appreciate it.
