I purchased two chargers and a Power Driver from Duralite. Great items but just too many things in my flight box, well for me.
So I combined those.
The internally connected 1 Rx charger charges the LiPo battery of the Power Driver.
The 3 Rx and 1 Tx charger is mounted on the side of the housing. I use any 12VDC power source (switched power supply or car battery) in order to charge my batteries. This way I got one little device to drive the glow plug and also to charge Rx and Tx batteries.
The downside: Duralites warrenty is gone. If anything goes wrong lots of money is gone. So you have to be careful and you have to know what you do in order to get a good working device out of it.
I also ran some temp. tests. So far so good.

It would be nice if they followed your lead and built a all-in-one device such as yours. Good thinking.
EDIT: Got a question for you. When you plug in the power cord to charge a TX or RX does it also charge your glow igniter battery or do you have two seperate power input jacks?

This is the reason I have held off going DuraLites. I could never change everything, and I'm not too keen on another charger to deal with. Nice work though Powermax.

Hi Greg,
Regarding your question, I did connect the 1 Rx charger permanently with the battery. This way I got one 12V 'feed' jack for all chargers.
As soon as I connect a power source the battery for the glow driver starts to charge. Since Duralite has a really good design for their chargers they shut off as soon as the battery is charged. And you can also charge the LiPo batteries way more often than regular NiCd or NiMh. So I do not worry about damaging the batteries. Worst case, should I damage them, I just order a new 2-cell battery from Duralite.
Thanks.
