Hi gentlemen,

I just crashed today my LOGO 10 at full speed from from very high altitude (I had plenty of time to take control of it but couldn´t) and it did not respond to my commands. Checked Tx and Rx after crash and they still working fine. Any idea what could happened?

As the ESC is broken is there any way to check if the motor stills OK with a multimeter? It is a Hacker C50 15L.

Where can I find carbon side frames for my Logo 10?

Thank you in advance.

You can get some carbon frames from Novaman. Check this thread. http://runryder.com/helicopter/t129489p1/ If you need original Mikado Logo 10 carbon frames, you need to buy it from an authorized Mikado dealer. Don't know what could have caused your crash? Could have been a bunch of things.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Sorry about your crash. Could it be interference from unwanted signals, such as from other TX on the same frequency? Do you use a PPM or PCM RX?

Aside from Novaman's site, also check http://www.nennos-helishop.de/Shop/
go to "Mikado">Tuning>Logo 10. It looks like a complete carbon replacement of the Logo 10 chasis -- probably an upgrade to Logo 10 Carbon.

Would you be so kind to followup on the repair - the parts needed, time and the cost?

Than you Patrick. I will check it.

Thank you SBK. My Rx is PCM. And I hope to repair my Logo in just one day after getting the parts. They are:both side frames, flybar, ESC, UBEC, main gear, tail boom, blade grip, bolt for blade, canopy, main blades and one servo for 401 gyro.

after a crash i check my reciever very thorough. it might seem to work fine on the bench, but trying to fly it again could be when the problems show up. electric models don't have the vibration like nitro ones so it won't be as easy as starting the engine and doing a range check with vibration. try tapping the reciever with power and see if it has problems then.
also wiggle the wires going into the reciever and moving the sticks at the same time. i found on one reciever the servo connecting pins on the reciever had cracked the solder, could have been a crash for sure if i didn't wiggle the wires as it worked fine until i did this.

the motor is probably fine, just check that the shaft is not bent and moves freely.

what could have happened?
you will have to do a check of all electronics and try and determine that.

do you use a bec or a seperate battery? do you use a switch?
if you can't find the problem, i would send the reciever back for service to get checked out, and replace the crystal, those things are not that durable.

Thank you Novaman. .

I used a koolflight UBEC, Castle Ph. 80 ESC, no switch, 5S3P Lipo pack, Hacker C50-15L. It was about my flight number 12.

I will check that. Any way just in case I will use a brand new Rx and crystal

You could've lost power to the Rx causing total loss of control but I'd have thought the motor should've stopped in that situation?

If you had 'PCM Lockout' then the controls should've reated as programmed from your Tx - unless you set them to 'hold last position' which you wouldn't be able to tell. I set my PCM to bring the throttle to zero and set all linkages to give me Zero pitch - that way I can definately tell if I'm getting interferrence during a flight.
PCM should return your control on receipt of a good signal generally but if you lost arial connection or crystal integrity then it won't come back at all.

You say your ESC is broken, I'd suspect that for the cause initially - what exactly is broken on it? I'm not familiar with the UBEC but does it cut out if it goes over-temp or over-current?

With your Gyro, I'd just try a different servo (cheapest option) and see what happens.

Good luck
Richard.

Thank you for your kind reply Richard.

My PCM Rx is not programmed to fail safe so if a glitch happens it will go away faster.

The ESC is broken becuse one of the two capacitors is smashed due to the impact.
Regarding the Koolflight UBEC I really don´t know if it was bad or not. It never been hot at all. It is also broken from the middle due to the impact.

Did you look at the price for original Mikado Logo 10 carbon frames from Nennos Helishop? Their charging 169.00 EUR for the frames and 39.60 EUR for the motor mount. That comes out to 208.60 EUR or $261.17 USD plus shipping.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I've ordered things from Nennos 4 times now and I never got 17% deducted and shipping was way more then 10 Euros.

Correct me if I'm wrong here (wouldn't be the first tiem ) but you can't 'not programme' a PCM receiver - it's permanently there. What you can do is not set it up so the default setting of 'everything hold' stays.

At least that's how my radio system works - only way to ignore PCM is to use a PPM recevier .

Regarding the ESC, if that's the only damage then it's easily fixed up with a trip to RS?

Cheers
Richard.
