I have built a camera mount, my first fo my raptor and I have taken some test pics. It is obvious that I have some vibration that I need to deal with. My question is...what is the best way to isolate the camera? I have foam between the helo skids and camera mount and foam between the camera carriage and the mount. Should the camera carriage be pretty rigid, or is it better to have it somewhat loose?? Just a guess, but having it semi-loose as I do is allowing to camera to oscillate. Any help would be appreciated. I will take some pics of the mount tomorrow and post them, as well as post some pics. I made my own carriage out of aluminum and activate a servo with an aux switch...a one man job, but so far it is pretty fun. I just take more pictures and keep the god ones. Later I will consider a wireless link for a two person job.

I think airfoil has the best (and cheapest) idea. Wrap skids in 5/8"IDx1/2" Wall 25/50 pipe insulation. Then use bungy cord to hang the mount with the bungy touching only the pipe insulation. You don't have to stick the pipe insulation to the chopper, zip ties arround the insulation work well, just not great for inverted hovering....The key is for the only contact between the chopper and the platform is through the pip insulation and the bungy cord.......Check out airfoil's web site for some pics.

Hope this helps
