I notice that the Carbon Fiber Fins that are around have cut outs.
Do they work as well as a solid fin?

The cut outs are to reduce ts ability to act like a wing and push the tail around. Horizontle stab works as a stab in forward flight, but can make it less stable in reverse flight, slows down flips too, well potentially anyway. I just cut my horizontle away completely, but honestly i didn't notice all that much diference. save your money for fuel.

There is hardly any noticeable difference in flight, it makes the fins lighter and more fancyfull but it reduces its stiffness which makes it break more easily

also helps with backflips/traveling backflips where you don't have all the power in the world, seems to smooth it all out.
