I just got one of these for my Shogun. Instructions for joining the body halves are pretty good but nothing about attaching to frame. I've built plenty fixed wings, but never a scale Heli. Has anyone built one of these that would like to share methods? B.J.

Attaching body to frame

The best way Ive seen it done is to extend the existing Canopy mount with carbon rod(s) or metal tube or Installing a carbon rod or metal in a place that will not conflict with the mechanics.

Hughes Body

After cutting out the body and trial fitting, prior to glueing in the plastic joining strips, it dawned on me to try permanantly holding the halves together with tape. I used clear packaging tape on the insides. Flexable, light, and most important, much easier and cleaner than glue. Am I missing some reason that tape can't be used?

Taping fuselage halves together

Tape can be definitely used and I personally like it better than glue. Why even in a wreck, it would be better.

Hughes

If tape is good enough for the designer, it's good enough for me. Thanks Darthdrk. I was just afraid I was missing some obivious reason. WLJ
