does anybody know if the stroker crank they offer for the g230rc/g260rc will fit on the g26 for helicopters?I have looked at all the manuals for each different engine but there is no dimensions for each crank so was wondering if anybody might have first hand knowledge.

if your gonna go.....go all out!

The rear shaft of the 230/260RC crank is approx 13mm shorter than the G26.

Unless you want to make your own flywheel and go to battery powered electronic ignition you are out of luck. Talk to Billme about how he did his.

Right Chris. Been there, and also to a couple other gas ped (Go-Ped)forums and rc gas boat forums too. Lot of young teenagers on the GasPad boards and few older/ experienced builders. The GasBoat boards generaly have more experienced members. Good info on all.
There is some contention wether the crank counterwieght diameter will fit in the PU cases without additional machining. I read that the crank diam is too large and reqiers that the cases be upened up about. 15thou. And also as menioned here, the crank length is different.
The was talk on one of the other RC gas boat boards a few months ago, about getting another stroker crank made (for retail sale) that would fit the the PU cases without machining. I have not seen anything yet to transpire for this. Doesn't mean that the cank didn't get made, just that Ihave not seen it or recocnized it for the PU style.
Also, on the Gas boat and GasPed boards there much discusion on enging mods, cutting, porting strokeing, carbs, exhaust and hybrids. Lots of great stuff for us guys with gasser helis.

Did some web surfing last night for info on crank balancing. Found a couple intersting pages on how its done. Don't have the links here at this moment or I would post them.

I really would like to put together a 29cc motor, but I am still in the info gathering stage. Don't want to cut too much metal if the hybrid or aftermarket parts are out there to make it work in my heli.
