Aerial Imaging

With prices that low, you will put persons like me out of business, or you will find yourself spending more than you take in. Good Luck!

I know they are low to start with, but I am just trying to get started, Don't really have a feel for what the market can bear at this point. If I feel that the prices are too low, in a couple of months, I will raise them....What did you start out at?

you made one of the mistakes i made on my website, you didnt minimize the picture file size enough so it takes a while to load some of them!

Pricing Aerial Photography

I did like most persons starting out in photography. I just enjoyed others wanting the photography I produced until I realized that it was necessary to make a profit if I was to continue to purchase film, cameras and processing services as well as reimburse myself for income lost through using my time and resources photographing instead of exercising other marketable skills. I wish to remain in photography so it must make my living or at least pay for the time I use in lieu of other work.

It is always easier to lower your prices than to raise them. Remember that you are offering a service that is very hard to duplicate. Leave room to subcontract through other professional photographers who already have clients that might need your services.

Aerial Photography Pricing

As a postscript, I did not mention that the cost in time and effort using digital media makes the use of digital equipment more expensive for me and therefore reflects differently in costs. I charge more for the digital photography since income is lost in reproduction. Most clients have the equipment and personnel at their disposal to produce the finished product from the digital files which they require from the photo shoot.
