In my Tempest I cant see the fuel level without cutting a huge hole in the canopy which I really dont want to do, so in an effort to give me some warning before running dry I hooked up a header tank to be used as a fuel gauge.
The difference the tank made to the performance of the engine was remarkable.
I thought the engine ran well before but its so much better now. This motor is such a gem. It starts easily, idles beautifully, pulls hard from any rpm, and is wonderfully smooth while maintaining reliable mixture throughout the tank.
Disregarding a little 'incident' I had with this motor 6 months ago that was caused by a faulty MA clutch its been 100% reliable despite my ham-fisted efforts to make it otherwise.

Thanks OS.

good to hear

Glad to hear someone has good luck with this engine. I just got a new one for my Fury Extreme, still breaking -in. I 've been reading lately that some people have not had good luck with this eng.

If you keep doing the same thing…...you’re going to get the same results!
