I'm just wondering if anyone has tried one of these packs in their Zoom / Shogun etc. Kokam 2000mAh 3-Cell 15C Super High Discharge. I'm currently running TP1320's but they get super hot after 7-8 minutes of flying. I think they have a 10-12C output rating and was thinking these Kokam packs might be the trick. I love the T.P.'s because they are a near perfect fit. The Kokam's would need some help getting mounted. Thanks.

I'm using them in a foamy (Pigi 3D) drawing roughly 25 amps and they barely get warm.

I bought two at Tower. With the perpetual discount, I got both shipped for under $130 with Deans connectors!

They make a 20C version too but they are WAY expensive

I'm using TP 2100Mah 11.1V and they have 10-12C continuous and 15C bursts. They fit perfectly in the tray of my Shogie and have perfect CG. I just insert a small balsa wood wedge in the front of the pack to hold it nice and snug.

The 15c's are huge but provide so much power that it's a trade off I'm willing to make. I didn't realize the difference between 8-10 and 15c until I flew them, and hopefully they will last a long time if treated well as they barely get warm with my Himax.

My TP1320 are just getting way to hot. I don't think their gonna last much longer!

I feel I must update some folks here about an issue I'm now having with these batteries.

I'm only on about my 6th or 7th charge with these and I seem to be getting shorter flight times.

When I first got them, I got about 9 minutes flying time. Now I'm down to a hair over 6. It is also taking a lot longer to charge them (from 80 minutes to 2 hours on 2.5A setting). The only thing that is consistent is that my charger is putting in about 1800mah each time. That part seems normal to me as I have my ESC set to protect the pack from being discharged too low and I'm getting 90% out of it so I don't have a problem there. It's the shortened flying times and the lengthened charge times. This is TWO identical batteries both acting the SAME.

It could be that the shortened flying times are because I'm using more throttle and not realizing it . . . the Pigi 3D is a fun plane and I get better every flight. I'm still playing with them so I'll update you again if anything else changes.

I expected 12 minutes but I was okay with 9. However, 6 minutes is pathetic and I might end up sending them back to Tower.

This is my first experience with lithiums. Do they "break-in" and lose a little performance??? I'm used to nicad and nimhs that get BETTER after a few cycles!!!

By the way Brett, they are rated at 10 -12C and 15C bursts and fit perfectly in the tray and give a good center of gravity. Good luck!
