I don't know about you guys, but by the time I put together a flying chopper, you have dropped plenty of hard earned cash... yes the airbrushed canopies make your chopper look like a Ferrari, but I still think there is something to be said for a bit of do it yourself imagination with stickons....

I had a Freya 90 and noticed in the manual there was an optional flame job sticker set. See pictured my 3 month old Sceadu, I bought the optional flame stickers and applied them to the Sceadu canopy from new. I think the finished product looks pretty good for 'custom on a budget'....

Thought I would share with you all and ask for similar examples?

Sceadu 50
OS Hyper 50
MP2, GV1, 401+9254, 9252's
Carbon Extreme fin set
NHP carbon rudder rod and tail blades

Even LOWER cost graphics - if you have a computer, paintshop Pro or similar graphics program, and an inkjet printer, that is. I printed my designs out on 8.5"x11" adheasive-backed vinyl sheets (cost about $1.50US each). Since I only wanted semi permanent, I just shot a coat of spray-can clear on them (monokote spray) then cut them out and applied - they are holding up just as well as the stock stickers so far. I just sold this heli, so it's about time to make some more. The ones below cost me $3.00 in vinyl plus printer ink and a little of my time.

vinyl sheets

Got my vinyl sheets from http://www.papilio.com/. I used the clear ones. Just under $15/10 sheets. They have a bunch of different types.

Absolutely. In my gallery is a photo- the ONLY photo in there come to think of it - of what I did to my Evo; using UltraCote adhesive-backed covering trim for planks.

For some reason, I cannot get that pic to transfer over here- sorry.

hey, u guys ever get into r/c cars? I am already in them (trying ot sell one) and we have vinyl sheets for making a body look really cool. parma makes em, pro-line makes em. Some are for use on the inside (lexan bodies for r/c cars are clear, and u paint them inside out) but there are decals that go on the outside of your vehicle. just go see what your lhs has in stock, and go with it! Some of these could look REALLY good on a heli, and I am suprised no one has ever tried this!
