I'm from Vegas now residing in San diego. When I flew in Vegas during the summer, besideds enduring the extreme temps myself they can adversely affect your pizo gyro. Now that I live in S.D. I love to go down to the beautiful parks by the beach and fly but the thermals and gusts can a big problem as well. I can be flying just perfect and all of a sudden my chopper will decend very rapidly to to a downdraft or whatever. So I discovered this very nice golf course that has a park adjacent to it with lots of trees that seem like they were planted for me that provide an excellent wind break even on the windiest days. I've also found that choppers are a pretty good "chick magnet". Those little babies walk right up out of curiosity, strike up a conversation and the next thing I know I'm at some waterfront bistro enjoying a margarita with my next student, and perhaps a heli student at that Ha, Ha, Cheers guys and I hope you find an enjoyable climate, weather or otherwise,
to fly in.

Come on down to Southern California (San Diego)!

Beautiful flyng weather year round, but you need to win the Lottery to buy a home here (3-bedroom average houses going for $500,000.00 now!!!)

yep, i aint flowen for 3 weeks now! It just seems to be constantly 20mph+ winds, and if its dry (Heven Forbid) by the time you get your helis ready you can garuntey it will of started.

And yes, The Weather people are predicting the coldest Winter with most wetness in years! very few sun spots or something. Lets hope they have got it WRONG AGAIN!

As I look out of my office at work I cannot see the buildings next to me due to the amount of snow comming down.

I hope a chinook comes and melts this away so I can get out sometime and fly some more.
