Airhog

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for, the bladerunner.

I'd like to get him hovering before attempting anything bigger.

FYI, I saw them for around $110 at some of the hobby stores. KB Toys had it for $69 and you can use a coupon code KBNLTR to get another $5 bucks off.

Thanks,

Mike...

I am using the quicker flybar weights. Definitely a must if you are flying it around (and not just hovering).

They do ship stuff out. I doubt that shipping was included for $295.

Awesome!!!!! I picked one up today. The LHS just happened to have one. I've been flying it all around my garage. It's freakin awesome!!! I put the lighter paddles on and that helped, but I think it really needs the carbon blades made for the XRB and I think that would really liven it up.

Anyway - Hirobo's outdone itself on this one. It's freaking awesome! Now I have something fun to play with in the garage at night.

Very very very cool!

Yeah I love mine.

So get this, I demo it at the LHS, four customers order one. Another, walks right over to the plastic models dept, and picks up a cobra, and huey 1/24 and 1/32 plastic model kit. They were about take mine apart to see just exactly what it would take to retro fit either of the bodies to the XRB lama core. Both looked as though they would fit nicely, upon inspection the whole silver block core of the lama will unscrew from the rest of the heli and make another scale conversion quite possible. I like my Lama but if anyone tries this, please post pics of the results!

Had mine up for the first time last night. Hirobo really did a great job! I'm amazed with the response behind the gyro. I haven't even had the chance to fine tune gain yet. Great little chopper. I love it.

Can't wait to fine tune the tracking and balancing.

Who sells a carbon fiber blade set?

Got a response to an Email I sent to Heliproz sking about additional battery packs. They do not have them yet but when they do there going to be about $60.00. Ouch, there has got to be something else that will work.

Dont do it!!

It becomes pretty much unflyable.

A lot of the stability comes from the foam blades being as flexible as they are.

If you still insist in trying it, Make an offer on a "like new" set.

Exchanging battery packs is slightly a pain in the rear. The battery tray is screwed on with 4 tiny little screws. Though having two packs is ideal. You'll just want to be sure to cool the motor between flights.
