Vario_UK rrApprentice UK | An invite for all heli pilots to attend this years Vario Helicopter Fly-in this weekend the 14 and 15 August at Keevil Airfield, nr Warminster (same as the last 2 years )All makes of Scale and Pod & Boom helicopters welcome, ( NOT ONLY VARIO ) .Run over two days at the superb flying site at Keevil Airfield the fly in is based on a totally relaxed weekend for you to fly and chat with other pilots. See the latest Vario models including the new turbine Cobra, the giant 2.5 meter rotor dia XLV, also the new Giant Lama . Last year we had the largest turbine heli gathering and this year it is looking to be bigger !!!! Proof of BMFA insurance will be required if flying !!!!! Food avalable + camping on the site from Friday evening on... For B+B do a search on the web for places around Keevil like...Melksham, Trowbridge, Corsham, Westbury, Devizes. Directions The Vario fly-in is at Keevil airfield in Wiltshire. From Junction 17 of the M4 follow the A350 (Towards Poole), the airfield is about 17 miles from the motorway. It is sign posted off the A350 Melksham to Trowbridge road, about 3 miles south of Melksham. The airfield is about 3 miles from the A350, through a small village called Ashton. there will be orange Vario signs pointing the way from the A350 on Friday afternoon.
