Today my Freya glitched in flight, and I guess it was a radio problem. No trouble rescuing normal flight - but I had to use lots of rudder to stay in a straight line. Landed safely etc.

After re-starting, rudder was normal.

I suspect the glitch forced my gyro (Futaba 502) to adopt a new heading reference. Is this the likely explanation?

If this were to recur, is there anything one can do to reset a true reference while still in flight? Would it have helped to turn off heading hold?

Philip

PS - my raptor died following loss of cyclic - all because one link worth a few pence slipped off. I blame the Ground Crew...
