Wow that was a lot of activity. I'm leaving the house now so I will have to address things tomorrow.
But, I don't like appreciate someone implying that I'm a liar.
1) MA did fix my heli when it crashed because they knew the clutch bearings were failing and spinning on the shafts. They also probably did it in part because I've been flying x-cells for ten years and am the instructor for our club and have contact with lots of new, impressionable pilots, and they wanted to keep an influential person happy.
2) My helis are impecably built. I can't tell you how many newbies come to the field with all sorts of backgrounds, tell me they did a great job building their heli, and I spend an hour or two setting it right (I'm not talking about setting up curves).
3) I learned to fly long before GV-1s, and I have curves programmed in.
4) Anyone who has seen me fly comments on how smooth I fly. I used to fly pattern airplane and I fly my helis the same way.
5) I didn't crash. The heli didn't do what it was supposed to. Will Jeff help? I don't know. Should I have asked him in private? Yes. Can I change that now? No.

I'm with you Big John!
If you crash heli it's only your responsibility,
I wouldn't be that sure that it’s you who fly perfectly and it's Hirobo who do bad helis, parts or whatever!
There are 99% that something became loose or something and you simply didn't check it, common we are not computers, everything could be.

Hm...it seemed for me that you simply want to use your status for pressuring and getting everything for free...why not to become a sponsored pilot then, if could fly that good.
But something is telling me that manufacturers wouldn't ever do that by simply reading this thread. Guys who fly well never tell everyone how good they are, they simply fly and show it!,
Just wondering whether guys like Alan Szabo Jr. are talking like this: it was the rod which didn't work well, that’s why I crashed the heli, it couldn't be by my fault cause I'm just perfect.
It’s your heli, you assembled it, and you flew it - than it is only your fault, that you didn’t check, tune or control something!

Man you guys are twisting everything I say in the most negative way. I am NO Alan Szabo Jr. Not even close. I never said I was. But I've been in this hobby more than 20 years. There is something to be said for experience. I am simply trying to explain to some of the doubters flaming me (who may have been in this hobby for only a short while) that I know what I'm doing. And, I'm just pointing out that I am the only instructor of the Cleveland RC Club, that I put on a show almost every weekend, and have taught lots of people how to fly helicopters. Those are facts. If a manufacturer wants to keep a front man like me happy so I recommend their stuff, great! If they don't, that's fine too. If there stuff is good, I will still recommend it although I may not show it off (and that has less pull, period. If you don't believe me, look how much famous people get to endorse products). I will probably fly Hirobo again in the future (when I can pay the bills again) regardless of what JEff decides because I think they make a great 50 size helicopter. If he can help me, I'll be back up with the Sceadu sooner. If he can't, fine. It just means I won't be showing what his heli can do anytime soon. It is not a threat to JEff. It is just a fact.

Now don't try to read this with the intention of finding the worst way to interpret my message and flame me with it.

Thanks,
Rick

After a year or more of great flights with my Sceadu 50, she finally let me down.
You had a failure on a 1 year old heli and you want Jeff to replace parts? Man, if everyone did that, they'd go out of business.

Guys, in my original post, I did not say "this heli is crap, you owe me, fix it all." I just described what happened. Was there a problem with the original Sceadu head that surfaces after the heli gets some time on it? I don't know. I think blades going out of track is why they redid the head for the EVO. I just asked for a little help. That is it. This thread has gotten out of hand. With all due respect, I think I will close it at this point and admit I should never have posted. If you are ever in Cleveland look me up, you'll see I'm not so bad....
