I decided I needed a scale heli so I bought the Century Bell 222. Of course when I brought it home my wife had other plans for me. She told me I have 2children, funny enough their names are not V1 and V2. Well we went to a nearby park where I took a GWS Slow stick and flew for a few batteries. Got back home and had to do the bath and bed time stories thing. We read something about jet planes in a race. Which by all accounts is not a bad thing as a matter of fact I enjoy reading to the kids. I prefer my Rotory Modeler but the kids have their own agendas. After reading, my wife and I sat down and talked. We talked about...uh...well...uh...OK she talked and I smiled and nodded a lot. By the time she finished it was 11:30pm here in Albuquerque.

Well I figured I had about 7 hours before she woke up and noticed I wasn't in bed so I went to my work room and started to unpack everything and start building the mechanics. I got all the tools I needed made sure all the bags were there and opened bag number one. As I reached for my Thread lock I noticed it wasn't there I ran out putting some guys heli together at work and forgot to get another one.

What was I to do? I could have gone to bed angot a good night sleep but Wal-Mart was still open. Funny thing there is they didn't have any. So I went to another and another . Nothing About an hour later I found a auto parts store still open and I'll be d@mned they had some.

I did get the main frae finished tonight so in all not a bad story but I could just imagine how hard it was for Orville and Wilber Wright when they needed Locktite and the stores were closed.

Just thought I would share

Cheers
Patrick

I know exactly what you are talking about. Hula-hoop training gear at 0300 from Walmart one night. I work nights and it is great to go shopping for something without traffic or long register lines.

You know, I had the same problem, just not in the middle of the night.

I went to two different Wal-marts. You would think of all the useless shi!t they have for sale, they would carry thread lock. Nope, I had to go to the Hobby Shop and pay $4.00 for a 2.5oz bottle.

Go figure.

Have a look here: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/...ghlight=walmart

Then decide if you really want to see WalMart carrying hobby items.
