Well Jerry's little incident was simple. He was in a hover, and the tail rotor gearbox departed from the heli. Broke smooth off. Heil piro'd to a dirt nap. Boom strike, spindle, main shaft, flybar, blades, a few bent pushrods, and of course the tail gearbox.

Now mine was very interesting. Was doing tic-tocs and the wonderfull, new and improved, solves all problems, all bearing auto unit in my Raptor 90 decided to completely let go. The engine remped to 9 million RPMs, head speed went to nothing, and heli heli bounced pretty good. Damage to the heli was minimal. Bent one pushrod, maybe the spindle, and bent to rear canopy mounts. What made it bad was the battery terminal came out of the receiver in the bounce, and the engine screamed until it blew up. It landed about 100 yards from where I was standing. So in a dead sprint, I still couldn't get to it in time. Good thing HeliProz is running a special on the YS 91. But I am still not to pleased. I was having a good day. Oh, well. It will not slow me down for long. Time to put some fuel through the Fury's.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.
