When I turn on the switch. I wait for 502 to intailzied, then I start the motor. When I hover, tail hold good but when I forward flight and came back to hover. I notice tail start to drift. I shut off the motor and I notice tail move without input from transmitter. Any idea why? I have 9CHP radio and revo mix is off by seeing "mix-inh" I need help!

Do you hover and fly in the same flight mode?
No trim or subtrim in either modes?

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

Hi,

Tail move without Tx input is normal when 502 is in AVCS (Headinghold) mode(that is as long as the suggestions of MrNoodles are checked).

You probably moved the tail in one direction or another and the gyro will try to compensate. As long as the movement is in one direction (the opposite direction in which you misplaced the tail) this is OK.

When the 502 is working in rate mode (non HH) this should not happen.

About the tail drift problem, how high is the gain? Did you try to increase it a bit to see if this improves the tail hold in FF?

Greetz,

Marc

drift

A Subtrim and trim are set in zero. I hover and foward flight are in same flight mode but I switch gov 1 to 1650 in forward flight. When I made a 1st hover, it doesn't drift but forward flight does drift and then it still drift into hover. But I know AVCS does not drift when my helicopter is up in the air, but it does. When I set up the linkage for rudder, I made 90 degree for servo arm and tail pitch is set at zero degree in normal mode before I set it up on AVCS mode. Am I doing right way?

drift

my gyro did not move without the tx input when I turn the power on. However the tail move to one direction after the flight. Is that normal?
