Today while wipping down my P-max I tipped the back of it up and fuel spilled out of the canopy. Upon trying to figure out were it could have come from, I noticed that some was leaking out of the mouth of the fuel tank. So I took the cap off.

Upon inspecting it I found that the mouth of the fuel tank had split right down the seem along the neck to where it connects to the tank.

Has anyone else experienced this.

I running the C-Spec PS but I would thing that it would put that much pressure on it. Heli has never be crashed or even landed hard so I no that, that is not the cause.

Any suggestions?

did the engine run strange on the flights before you found the crack? just curious as I had a cracked raven tank and it would empty my header tank at about 1/2 main tank although it showed NO sign of a crack by leaking or anything.

jdesign,

There wasn't anything really noticeable about it. The only thing I noticed was that the heli was really slugglish in on the collective. I attributed to me changing blades. I went from the Rotortech 720 to MAH 710's. I just thought I may have to adjust my pitch curves with the new blades.
