Just out of stock for a while. It happened to the Vigor a few months back.
Acording to the distributors there is no plan to discontinue the Voyager 50 or the IMZ 50 version.

Everytime I see a post like this, I get more P.O.'ed at JR and their distributors...Horizon, et al. Either JR has absolutely the poorest communication in the industry or has no friggin' idea what is going on.

Twice within the past three months, I have been told by stock JR online retailers that both the Voyager 50 and IMZ were history...even tried unsucessfully to buy one after "creaming" mine from Cyberheli and when they said discontinued, that is about as clear as it gets.

I guess JR operates in a vacuum sometimes, or on another planet because they sure can't get the word straight on this one. With as many people clamoring to buy their products, especially the Voyager series and the Vigors, you would think they would come out with a press release stating a definitive company policy and time frame, but not JR....first time anyone will know about the new Vigor will be when Joe Schmuck shows up out at the field with it.

I´ve heard that the last Voyager was made this week and JR now only produce Airskipper / Sylphide / Venture 50. And in their latest issue of "The Wing" Vol 37 there is no Voyager presented. Also in their special "Heli Division Catalog" there is no Voyager so I think it´s out of production.

You can find pdf:s of "The Wing" here: http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/

Just like the Ergo I think parts will still be available for quite a while if they do give it the axe, I sure like mine!, Oh and the shape of that Venture 50 canopy is FUGLY

wolfgang,

Not sure but they seem to be pushing the Venture line (30/50/60/90).

The Air Skipper line seems to be the replacement to the Voyager. The frames of the AS 50 look like a mix of the Voyager 50 and the IMZ.

Not much of this makes sence to me.
I can see having a 'cheap' voyager line and a top quality Air Skipper line but that would be a LOT of helis. Probably too many. Especially with the Sulfide series

I spoke with Len Sabato and with his comments combined with the speculation on Runryder, I am declaring the time of death as 7/2004 for the Voyager line.
JR will continue to produce parts, I'm sure, and there should be adequate parts stock with retail to keep my Voyager flying for some time in the future.
I am, however, disappointed that a relatively new heli gets shelved so soon after release.
I think the Venture is decent, with upgradeability of KSJ parts to near Voyager quality. Maybe I'll try it and see.
