Helicopters by their very nature are unstable machines, especially these little things. I have the same radio you do and have found that once I get the helo adjusted/trimmed up real nice I can let it go hands off for very brief periods, but as I said they are unstable.
A tip would be to set your power and let the helo stabilize in altitude first, then once everything else gets settled let go of the cyclic stick and see how it does.

It's possible you might not have the trim resolution with the dream starter to get it perfectly setup, but even with a more expensive radio, like FlyrEric said, you're going to have a very hard time going hands off for more than a couple of seconds. This is doable with some larger micro helicopters because of increased inherent stability, but unfortunately not with our micros.

It’s possible because I have done it :D

Just balance your heli and trim it really good (I have a eclipse7 transmitter). You need a realy big room so your heli doesn’t get affected with his own turbulence.
I could let it hover for minutes it’s just drifting a bit in a 2 square meter. I coudnt belive it for myself (and the people around me) They thought it had some stabilisation device in it.
