Need to know if this is a normal condition. I have a JR 8103 with a 649 PCM S and Futaba 9253 servo. I have the gyro set to High Frame Rate and the travel limit pot is fully clockwise(100%) Radio set to 150% travel volume L&R . Servo is on the bench waiting to be installed if this condition is normal. When I move the rudder stick left or right at about half the arc travel the servo is at full throw and the rest of the way the servo does not move the gyro is in rate mode when doing this. If I just hook the servo directlly to the reciever the servo moves through the complete stick arc like normal. I also hooked it up to my original JR 4735 TR servo and it did the same thing. Is this normal, any help would be greatly valued. Thanks Guys Yogi

Mine did the same thing with the JR 8700 servo when I installed it last fall. It worried me, too. I asked the same question and got the same answer JRMAN gave you. He's right. I was told that the gyro is aware of the rudder input but doesn't sense a rotational rate(because it's sitting on your workbench) that matches the expected rate for the stick input. So, it compensates to increase the rate of rotation resulting in the servo going to full throw in an effort to "catch up" with the stick input. I can't say if what I was told is correct, but I can say that the 500T has worked flawlessly for me from it's first flight on! Good luck!

Thank You Guys, I'll finish the install today with no more worry. I had a JR 900 piezo in the heli before which worked fine but also did this same thing. This info allows me to be able to put it in another heli with no worries at all. Thanks again Yogi
