Hello guys.
i got a CY case to travel to 3DM with my 2 X-spec's and i would like to get some ideas on how to mount them inside, instructions on how to build the mounts would be awesome, and pics are always great too obviously.
ive seen some people mount the 2 bodies back to back with a short piece of boom holding them together, and this is probably how ill do mine, but im not sure how to mount them rigidly without moving.
any ideas are welcome.
thanks guys !!

There is a pic of how Alan Szabo jr. does it in his gallery - just like you mentioned held together with a bit of boom. Really neat!

Look closely at all three photos and see the bolts and washers.

These bolts and washers that youre reffering to hold the 2 pieces of wood sandwiched on the skids, they do not hold the wood base to the case itself.

When I put my glasses on I can see bolts through the brackets holding the wood base.

Once you close the case the wood will be trapped in the case and not be allowed to move. At least thats what it looks like to me!

Zooms Heli's got the answer

Zooms get the foam cut specially for most helicopters out there. The X-Sec is one of them. look at this link http://www.zoomshobbies.com/Product...?productID=7077
this they best and easiest way.

Great pictures Alan!
I may not use that same case but your setup gave me an idea how to secure the heli in a container. Thanks!

Sweet cases!!

Looks like there's a way that I finally can compete with my girlfriend and her make up case....

I will try to work out a case for my Rap90 and Cal30.

Thanks for the great pictures!
