i would pull the motor off and see if it spins free off the heli and spin the rotor shaft as well wile you have the motor off to see if it spins free as well to check the rotor shaft remove it completely from the heli and roll it on a flat surface to check for striaghtness

already done that joey. the motor spins freely free of the gear. but the gear also spins freely free of the motor!?

I RECKON u must be right with you theory about the screws, but why ahs this only just happened, and how do i solve it!?

I had the same problem. Check your gears to make sure there is no CA glue on them, it is almost invisible and will stop your gears. This should take care of your problem.

holy ****, found it.

but i think i might be up **** creek now. i slipepd yesterday with my soldering iron, i didnt think it had done any damage at the time, but it looks like a couple of teeth are a tiny bit melted at the top. eek! anyway of fixing this!? its a bit like trapped ca at the top of the teeth, except that its melted plastic.

lol, just looked back on the post, cant believe how much i posted! i think i was just desperate to try out my new setup.

i managed to recreate the teeth grooves using a knife. flies fine now, although makes a weird sound, like a crunching noise each time the gear passes the recreated bit!
