I heard from a friend that their new heli will be out in 3 months or so.
Also it will be based on a large OS engine (larger then a 90).

They may have had something in the works for a while now. Better to announce their new venture late then early. Maybe that's why Miniature
took there helis back so quick!

I'll bet these two guys know exactly what they are doing for the most part. I would guess they did not go into the issue, or make the announcement concerning their new venture, to hap hazarderly.

Look at it this way. Do you think they would have pissed away everything, and given up their total sponsorships without a prototype sitting on the bench? I am thnking NO! And do you also think that MA didn't know this? I am again thinking NO! The machine in question is not in development, it is ready for production IMPO. And will probably make it to the market sooner than most think. How many of us here would burn a bridge without sure knowledge of another avenue being within sure sight? I am betting not to many. If these guys are as smart as everyone thinks, then they are, or would not see things much differently than I am right now.

I bet Jason will be doing demo flights with their new heli at IRCHA!

No doubt this thing is well along in developement.

I also bet that Augusto is a partner or involved in this whole thing as well, just hasn't come out yet.

JonMann,

Even though they are very good friends of mine I'm not involved in their venture. A lot of people thought that was the case and Todd spending the weekend with me after the announcement helped fuel the rumors but he was just teaching 3D school nearby and we took the oportunity to spend some time together that's all.

Has anyone tried an engine larger than a .91? Is there anything out there that would be suitable?

I guess the other point is that if Jason and Todd are not including Augusto in their venture they are making a mistake. Augusto is probably one of the smartest engineering guys in this hobby. His post/analysis of different products/issues on this forum is THE best stuff available. Wish he would do more.

I have never met Augusto and have no reason to suck up to him, you can just tell from his post and his support on this forum what kind of guy he is and why he would be a value to Jason & Todd.

I bet Augusto is part of the JK and TB team and is making carbon frames for the Synergy heli. That would be awesome!

Guys I have dealt with and spoken to Augusto on a few occasions, and if he says he is not involved, I would beleive him. He is a super nice guy, and is not affraid to tell it like it is. Like I said, he says he's not involved. And I beleive him.
