I am having a hell of a time trying to setup my radio correctly.......

I am using Jrpcm 10Xh
Hornet 2
3 HS-55's
1 HS-50 on the tail fin.
Hacker B20 motor / 12T pinion
Servos are mounted exactly as shown in manual.

My problem is I am getting way more negative pitch then positive..

Should the pitch be zero while the stick is dead center?

I don't no what values to use in the swashplate mix. XX%, XX%, XX%

I also am not sure how to set it for throttle/cyclic mixing. I want to use Eric Larsens setup that he has on his website but not sure how to input those values on the 10X.

I really appreciate your help...

For swash plate mixing, go to code 65, choose 120 degrees ccpm mixing, and then it's -60% for ailerion, +60% for elevator, +30% for pitch. You can find tune these mixing later.

Use code 42 for ailerion to throttle mixing and code 43 for elevator to throttle mixing.

Yes, you must get 0 degrees pitch when the stick is at 50% pitch and the servo horns are parallel to the horizontal. You will need to trim down the plastic ball link rod by 2 to 3mm.

PCM 10x settings

Ok I was not sure If I had to trim the linkages also... I have to try that. I am still getting way more negative than positive pitch, I suppose once I trim the linkage it will work.. I have the links the length that the manual calls for though..

Thanks for your advice. :-)

You are welcomed.

On the other hand, I suggest you use gear channel for gyro gain.

gyro gain/.

I plan on using my gy401 for the tail duties set in heading hold mode.
I have the heli-up rear tail servo mount that put's the servo right on the tail fin, so I will have my gain set pretty high, I have also done Walts Servo mod to reduce slop in the servo.

can someone tell me what the center to center measurement are for the 3 cyclic control rods, and the 2 blade grip control rods.

Thanks guys.

This sure is an awesome hobby

superdave,

the hornet manual is incorrect to some degree.

for the servo/swashplate links... try connecting servo link/ball link with bolt (E020-E058-E021) until both links are flush.

otoh, for the blade grip/stabilizer lever links... don't follow the manual, instead allow between 1.5mm~2.0mm gap in the ball link/ball link short connection (E079-E058-E021)

i think this configuration will give you 0 pitch at mid stick.
