Hey all, I just got all my goodies for my piccolo fun today. They include, new GWS high power tail motor, Heatsink for the tail motor, MIA landing gear, pierres hobby CNC rotor hub with bearing screws, and a pierre hobby CNC swash plate (already had that). I love the new tail motor, had to turn down the gain on the piccoboard. very strong and responsive. Next I am going to order a full ball bearing set. then maybe some carbon blades. I bought a super brain 959 for charging the stock pack, i think i am going to get another battery pack soon. any suggestions on battery packs?? I want to stay with NiMH. What are some good ones?

Well, I dont want to go to lithium due to 1, the danger they present, i hit the ground about once or twice each pack, and the fact that if i rupture a lithium cell, i can have a fire 2. I just bought a new peak charger, the super brain 959, and i dont want to purchase another for the lithium. IMHO i just think it may be more of a hassle than i want to deal with. What i mean, whats the highest capacity and the better brand of NiMH to get? How many cells should I get? 7 or 8? the stock one i have is 8 cell, but i heard some poeple are getting good results with 7?

BTW: I just weighed by pic on my dads postage scale, it came out to 297 grams ready to fly, is that decent? thanks

i actually just ordered a new transmitter pack, a 1650Mah 9.6v from NoBS batteries and was very pleased with there service and help. Also the pack i received is top notch. I believe i will be ordering a vewry high capacity nimh pack soon for my piccolo. BTW: I am on my 3rd tail rotor, anyone know of a good aftermarket one? I was just thinking of going direct drive also. I bought the GWS high power tail motor and it has a pinion gear on it. how can i safely remove the gear so i can slap on a direct dtive prop??

I got the GWS edf-50. A thrust fan design, works like a champ! A little heavy though. Just need to rebalance
