I was looking for a machine to beat the $@#$ out of and a raptor came to mind ( @ Seneca)

Once I got to looking at repair $ for parts on the .60 - .90 V2, I thought it would be a lot cheaper than JR models etc, but this does not seem to be the case... ?

I guess it depends where you purchase parts. Where's the best place for TT parts on the web?

I don't think that there is any one place that has all the best prices, but heliproz has good prices overall...

Heliproz

I've had good luck with them on my other heli's... I guess there is no reason to switch.

Thanks for your opinion ...

Are you flying into Portland? How long are you staying?

I live right on the Westbrook / Portland line - but I choose to drive down to Sanford to fly my models. There is a club right near portland, but mostly plankers.. also a club for heli's nearby from portland

I was thinking about joining, they would probably let you show them up for a weekend

So far the best prices I have ever found. Every month I am just ordering few parts even if I don't need them. Little by little I am building my own stock of spare parts and have eveything handy when the bad moment comes

SEN

It's on Riverside Street over in Westbrook/ Portland

You can look it up online : Ray and Robins Hobby Center.

It's not a large shop, but it IS the ONLY shop! lol probably for the entire state of Maine. Nice guys over there though.

MTA

Blake
Got to disagree. MTA's Rosie is a great gal, but her PRICES? I've been in many times, well set up shop. Better than the 2-3 others in the LA area. BUT don't expect a deal. For prices, if they have what you want, you can't beat Heli-kraft for price or service most of the time. Next I would place Heliproze for inventory, service and price. Rick's would be next. But you really just have to do the legwork, considering convience (LHS most of the time) shipping and taxes, etc. For an example: CSM 560 Micro-
MTA out
Helihobby out
Zooms out
heli-kraft out
Heliproze 199.00 no shipping/taxes
Rick's 189.00 + 2.00 shipping, no taxes, in stock
RChobby(?)(Alan's site) 199.00 + shipping, no taxes, in stock

hmmm,Tough decision.
