I just recieved my XTR update today. I haven't got to mess with it, but will let you all know what I think. Anyway, everyone in the US should be getting their's shortly.

Ok, I just installed it on my laptop at the office, and it is awesome! I had to tune down the pano. resolution a bit since my laptop doesn't have a very good video card in it, but it still looks good. I can't wait until I put it on the home PC.

I am having a problem with the tail rotor not spinning sometimes. Does anyone know what that is all about.

The tail rotor dosen't spin sometimes because you broke it, or at least that's what I found out. If you have too much negative collective when the simulation initalizes (the heli does that little bounce right in the beginning), I think the tail rotor hits the ground and breaks.

Dr.Dan
got mine installed too.
This is awsome!!!
Flys great like the last version but now I have picture quality graphics to go with it. Its not just eye candy, the shadows and trees make keeping aspect more difficult just like flying here.

I did find on some of the senerys that the tail does break and spins out of control. But when the sim startes if your at about half stick if just lifts off and then I sat it back down and began what I wanted to do. Some like the farm field must be rougher.

I put mine in about the 1st week of Feb. also. I think I read that your in Ca., and I think it's being shipped from the east coast, so you should be getting yours in a day or so. Did you call MRC to make sure they had you on the list. I did 2 weeks ago.

Got my Xtra update version today here in Kansas also from MRC. Looked back at my e-mail from the reflex site and it shows I ordered my update on the 1st of Feb. The packaging looks as if MRC had to go through a list to send all the updates out to us. I believe MRC had to do the repackaging and addressing along with their invoicing for $0.00 for each before sending them out individually. I don't know how many orders they had but I bet it had to be a boat load. BTW they show that we can send our optional contribution (requested 45 USD) to MRC-Reflex here in the states.

As to the Sim, it flys great! The flight characteristics and fps didn't change on my machine and with the Fraps program I have it shows I am still running 60-72 fps in full screen mode. Running pentium 4 at 2.4 GigHz with nVidia card 5700FX Ultra 128MB at reflex's highest resolution.

The new flying fields look great and the veiws spectacular compared to the 4.03 scenery, which BTW are still in the program if you feel the desire to fly that mode still. If reflex does more sceneries in the future, It would be great to see a "Night Flying" scenerio. (Maybe we should make a new Subject post just on that subject)?

I called MRS on Friday; they received XTR on Friday and will start sending out on Tuesday and Wednesday. They only have Futaba round plug and some JR plugs no plugs for Futaba 9C. Futaba 9C plug is coming this or next week.
