I've jgot metal Flybar Control Links (for rap 30) but I'm unsure how to assemble them. Do I screw a plastic ball link into each end of the metal oval then cut off the parts protruding inside the oval?.
The whole assembly looks longer than the pv0005 plastic part - should they both be the same length?

You screw the plastic balllinks into each end of the metal hoop and make it the same length as the original ones. you can dut the extra ball link protruding through the inner side if you want. some do and some do not. just make sure you make it the same legth center eye to center eye as the original ones

I found that if you didn't cut the bit off that comes through the metal then they would hit the grip.

yeah definetely shave the extra off, a friend at my club had a crash a while back with his raptor 50 because the washout pins worked their way out, i dont think it helped that the link was protruding from the inside of the metal hoops and binding up on the head at the extreme's placing even more pressure on the washout pins, dont take the risk with it just shave it off flush.
