There is just a CD ROM. If you wish, you can print out a manual or individual pages from the info on it.

Hope this helps!

I could print it really?....

come on guys!

Has anyone ever bought a new heli kit that didnt have an instruction manual?

What next, we have to make the box for them too and send it to them before ordering it too?

Thats just cheap and assumes everyone has access to a computer and a printer...maybe I live in Egypt or Nacknuk and dont have that ****!

Time for a (related) rant.... I think MinAir are twats about instruction manuals in general. You can get a Raptor, OS or JR manual from many places on the web in .pdf format. Can't do that with MA stuff. I guess they want to force you to spend upwards of $20 for the privelege of being able to assemble your model. I was under the impression we pay (handsomely in MA's case) for kits and parts, not bits of paper which tell us how to put them together. That should be available for free. Not like you can use the manuals if you don't have a kit, why do they need to do copyrights etc. and why don't they post them on the MA website?

Now they don't even include a hardcopy in $1000+ kits? Come on MinAir, get it together

I built my friend's second IonX a few weeks ago. A hardcopy manual was included in both of his kits. Must be very annoying to have to print the manual after spending almost $1400 for a kit.

agreed, I have a routine for how I build....

I use the parts diagrams, figure out what each p/n for each fastener really means....sure I read the instructions, but their instructions read like a frickin novel.

look at the addendum, that just screams "you are the beta tester". I'll wait for some lemming to point out the newness of this technology etc etc, but I'll wait for something done right, atleast not rushed without an instruction manual made for it.

look at a raptor 90 manual..... 95% of the drawings are understandable because they keep the explanation concise, p/n and its real world translation are on the same page....and they dont clog up the diagrams with the same fastener p/n 10 times over.

they do leave out a lot of things, but you cant pack it all into an instruction manual in some slapped together way.

before the lemmings point the differences between the two machines, I'm just talking manuals to manuals....I built 2 other MAs before this and an r90 in the last month, so I'm pissed at the world right now

Unbelievable

What about those people who don't have a computer at home? I know many people who don't. Or those who have no facility to print a hardcopy?

This is just totally cheap. M.A. can't be bothered to provide an instuction manual with a £1200 kit!. If they had a problem at the printers then they should not have shipped without manuals.

( Remember the old days when you got a large ring bound manual with Microsoft Office? It looked and felt like you had just paid £350 for it. Nowadays a crappy CDROM. Although it is probably justified now due to the many updates that occur. )

But on a complex helicopter kit - it is unforgivable!

Would someone be so kind as to email me a copy of the IonX instruction manual with drawings?

Thanks!

Anyone who needs a printed manual has nothing more than to pick up the phone and call MinAir and we'll ship them one. We went to CDROM's because it was easier and less expensive all the way around. Most people have no problem at all with the CDROM as it does provide an infinite source of printed manuals.

I was a little suprised when I saw the CD in my first Tempest kit. But it didn't bother me to much. I just took it to my buddy, whom is a PC gooroo, and let him print it out for me. He arranged the whole thing and took it to Kinkos and had it all bound up nice and neat. Works for me. And I will also say that I like the ability to just print another one if I damage, or loose my current copy. The CD doesn't bother me at all. But that is me.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Unless you call at lunch time then you get to pay long distance to hear no one is available. How about a 800 number.

not to put anyone down, but I don't imagine a lot of people who order a $1400 state-of-the-art electric heli are without computer access.

If you don't want to pay long distance, use e-mail. Displayed near the bottom of the front page of the manual [on CD or in print]...
