Anybody else making their own wood blades ?.

Made my second set. Each one is easier to make and better than before. Not so hard after all .
Thats why I love the Hummingbird , too easy to modify and tweak.
Next the CD rom brushless tail rotor

How are you making them? I had thoughts about making my own. Would love to make a more durable blade from plastic like the FP I have. Flying 2 CPs now

Yup, thats me.
I heartily encourage everyone to make their own blades. CP are easier to do than FP by hand because you dont need to angle them, but getting a summetrical set can be a challenge.
I have worked with a lot of plastics and I dont think you will find a plastic that will work as well as wood in this application. Just the different thickness across the chord would make it almost impossible to injection mold.
I like the glass filled epoxy ones, but they are heavy and a bit brittle.
