That seems like an improvement to me.

The only thing that bothers me about heli videos is the "jitter" I know there are video processing algorithms that are supposed to remove jitter, essentially image stabilization after the fact. Has anyone ever tried that?

I liked this clip the fact that it was slowed down allows you to enjoy what it is capturing more. Even though the quality is not that great, I enjoyed the views.
Nice one,

Jefff,

As is getting all to usual to say "nice work"!

I think this demonstrates something that is important, but most new people to video seem to miss is to do things very slowly in video!

If it looks ok in your viewfinder, it's too fast. If it looks slow in your viewfinder, it's still a bit too fast. If it looks painfully slow in your viewfinder, the speed is just about right!

I find this is very hard to achieve with the heli. I find that I have to basically fly a slow moving hover (not truely forward flight) to get it about right. Unfortunately, I haven't anything I'm happy with yet.

This slow-mo clip of yours looks just about right to me and almost approaching too fast.

Keep up the good work! Hopefully, I'll have something worthy to share with you, you certainly set the bar high!

Here is some more footage that was slowed down to 85% on the timeline. Same real estate development, but different views.

Rich,
I'm psyched to check out some of your future video!

Cheers,
Jeff

Slowing down video.

I recently did some work for a commercial sales firm. I did some video and slowed it down about 65% for certain areas, just to give a relaxed feeling in crowed areas.

Jeff: What do you use to slow the video?

Cheers,
Dean

Hi Dean,

I'm using Premiere Pro for editing.
For web use I am happy with the slow motion and see it as a valuable tool.

However, I made a DVD (Adobe Encoder 1.0) and demo'd it on 106". The slow motion timelines were soft/blurry, but the 100% timelines were sharp and crispy.

This is my dvd menu so far..
(I think it's a little busy...need feedback)

cheers,
jeff

Sweet

Jeff,
That looks great. Not busy at all IMO,
I would however go for some more contrast between the menu and the background.
See ya in a few weeks I hope.
