I was wondering, would one say that it is harder or easier to tune a gasser engine?

Specifically the Zenoha 23CC Gasoline Heli Engine

I find it much easier to tune gas motors over nitro motors.Unless your using the walbro 677carb that is.

Just keep flying

I was told that nitro always needs tweaking depending on environmental changes (temp, humidity, etc.) and gassers, once tuned in stay pretty much the same.

.
Generally, the gasser is more forgiving of environmental changes (temp, pressure, humidity), but has a narrower mixture band to play with.

Both are pretty easy, once set up properly.

.

Flying helis since gyros had springs.

If you prepare yourself with the right equipment adjustments are easy. In boat racing we carry around equipment that measures air density, percentage of humidity, barametric pressure, temperature and Propane flow systems that rates in a SCFH 0-10 scale . Once you figure out what the relationship between running perfect and all the variables, setting the carbs are as easy as flowing nitrogen or propane through it, setting for the condition based on your base line and from a theoretical perspective all things being predictable, you never miss.

For Nitros -Putting a third needle and visable temp gauge allows you to adjust dynamically based on temp.

hmm..

Without measuring with air measuring tools I would find glow hands down pud to tune. Not only do you get audible ques, but you get this smoke trail that helps alot.

Gasser I guess I am still getting the ear for, but I am finding I am getting much better and pretty much leave the needle except for once in a great while.

I voted gasser although I'm about to order my Predator Gasser and have always flown nitro and just because I found out that with what I have spent on nitro, I could have bought 3 furys! Down here in Mexico for $26 bucks per gallon15% nitro, a gasser is a MUST!!!!
