The amount of oil varies with the type. I heard that 15%nitro has quite low amount of oil, while 12.5%nitro has a lot of oil.

15% fuel has 17% oil content, which is a fully synthetic oil
This is stated on there website.

should be on the container I have 15% nitro so 17%oil so can I add EDL to this ?
As OS engines require at least 18% . I know it is picky but we have a god in this country called Irvine's who do the warranty for OS and they are B------s to say the least when it come to oil content of feul they use it as a get out on the warranty.

Gordon
We had the same concerns a Month ago - Irvine don't like Cool power -
Now that Magnum is easily available I changed to 20% nitro it has 22% synthetic oil cost's £16-50 - so far it's proving really nice to use.

Thanks I will give it a go I am in need of feul I had 2 gallons of Cool power left over I got it on a deal mind 2 gallons is not going to last long may be a few days .
I ran out of feul so have to use the Cool power till I get some more feul. But I do need to know if I can add EDL or Castor oil to it.I can only get feul here on the IOW if I order it in advance as I use so much the shop over here will not risk stocking so much of one type of feul.

Thanks for that one I will work it out in cc how much to add it should not be a lot as we are only taking 1% of oil.
One thing that get's me you are not the only one OS is one of the most used engines around and they need at least 18% oil I think my C spec's needs more why don't you make your feul up to that oil content ?It must be a good selling point to be up to OS standard .

Morgan sells the synthetic oil that they use in the fuel seperately. In comes in a quart bottle. I can't remember where I bought it but it was either Rick's, Heli World, or Great Lakes. I think it was about six or seven dollars.

I used CP 15% in my OS engines for four years with no problems. I'm now running Magnum 30% though. Mainly because it is cheaper and easier to get.

I think I will be OK on the smoke I use Model Technics 16%nitro but add EDL and Castor to bring it up to 20% oil so that smokes well.
Feul is such a problem over here on the I O W to be fair the one shop is only into planes and cars and they just do not use the amount of feul that the heli's do so he only put's orders in when he needs 20 gallons that last's him some time. So if I miss the order I have to go looking and the only feul I can get in the post is Cool Power for some reason but will try Magnum.

Manatee Country where is that in Florida ?

Gordon,
I run my engines on Supaglo which is 16% EDL and 4% castor.I know
that Klotz Techniplate will mix with EDL or Castor, and I would think that the EDL should mix with coolpower O.K.(castor definately will).
I also have to order four gallons of fuel at a time because my local shop
doesn't stock Supaglo.
