Hi, all. I'm new, so this is my first nitro engine. I don't know too much about them.

I've been flying for the past few weeks (Evo 30), and everything has been AOK. I started up my Evo last night for the first time, and the engine seemed real sluggish, but was running smooth. I put it up at full throttle and could barely get off the ground (rpm's seemed lower).

I shut everything down and waited a few minutes. Started up again, and everything seemed better. Now, I may have been overly sensitive on the following flights, but it seemed like it wasn't running quite as fast as om previous days.

Any idea what could have happened? I'm trying to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Thanx!

Sounds like it got too rich. Maybe got flooded and couldn't burn off the extra fuel. Once it sat for a while it was able to clear out.

That's just a guess...

Thanks. That could be it. It did take a while to start it up. It could have flooded.

If you have a helper, you can get it cleared out more quickly. Start the engine with your helper holding the helicopter oriented so that the cylinder head is straight up. For example, a Raptor would be held vertically with the nose pointed straight up.
