My friend has a futaba/robbe 40mhz TX and RX. He wants to fly in the US, What are his options.
1. buy a new TX, RX
2. send his equipment to Futaba to re-tune.
3. trade with complient setup

Thanks,
Andy W.

I don't believe the equipment can be "retuned", it would probably take a band change, which is usually not practical. IMHO it would be best to by a receiver and a transmitter module unless you can find someone who would want to trade, but the chances of that happening are pretty slim.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

I would say option number 1 is the best bet.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.
