I am setting up the Caliber 30 with the GY401 and 9C. in the manual for the 9c they recommend to set the gain to 50. Does that sound ok?

On my old 6XHS I have it set to 72 for HH and 54 for normal.

I flew my Caliber with the 401 set to 55 in HH mode. Seemed fine, I probably could have run it lower but it worked fine at 55 so I left it alone.

The number isn't as important as the HH qualities.

Increase the number until you get some tail wag. Then back off that number until the tail wag stops. You are now set.

Having said that, mine is set around 58 or so. Yours sounds correct, but try it the way I recommend and see where you end up.

On my largers helis, I am set somewhere in the high 60's to low 70's.

Best Regards, Dario
