Anyone using Walt's HS-50 modification to tighten the gear mesh and eliminate the slop? I don't have a perfect match on the shaft to be able to modify the hole. I'm not sure it is as easy as Walt make's it look either....

It is easy, but you decide. You can get .039 music wire at the LHS.

I don't have a single HS-50 without this mod. After you take the time to get the first one done correctly, the rest are a snap. The HS-50 is a fast, low current draw, micro servo and with Walt's mod there are none to compare for applications such as those on the Hornet. I even use them on the T/R pitch controls of all my Zoom 400's.

Or if they don't have music wire, a 61 or 62 (I forget which one i used) drill bit works as well.

It's been a while, but I think I used one of the little 1mm pins that's used throughout the hornet.
