Just like to know some ppls thoughts and feelings that's all.

not speaking beause i love century but that p-gasser is quite nice. their is a thread floating around of curtis throwing it around a bit at mayday. which he took it real easy because the owner (james) had a really funny look on his face when it got close to the ground and water.. it can do all the 3D you can throw at it!! one guy at my field has a bergen and i personally think that the p-gasser is better, but that's just little ole me..

I just finished building a Bergen Interpid and all I can say is it's a freaking work of art. If something moves it has a bearing on it, no slop in any of the linkages. You can count the plastic parts on one hand. And as far as assembly, everything fits like a glove, no grinding or drilling to get things to fit together. Add to that great customer service from the gang at Bergen and $300 is a small price to pay

If you were to search for old posts I started and/or participated in you will see I've been working this issue for quite some time.

I've discovered the Bergen is the clear favorite for quality, design and tech support by a screaming majority with little credible challenge. What made the Predator seem a good choice was the supposed price difference. However, when you factor in what you get and what you need with each machine, the price difference virtually fades away.

For instance, you don't get a canopy with the Pred, I think?
The stock muffler is acceptable to good on the Bergen. The stock muffler on the Predator isn't that great and their $100 muffler is highly recommended. The Predator comes with wood blades, not the promised carbons (I'm NOT referring to the Pred SE that will soon be available).

There are other factors too but the Bergen will cost only slightly more than the Predator when you get all the "fruit" to match.

The Predator might be a bit more nimble but I'm watching that issue too and the jury is still out.

Then from what I've heard from a local Predator owner, crashes aren't that cheap so after 1 crash on each, you'd be even anyway.

Bottom line, the price difference, which I once calculated to about $600 (based on rumor/promise) is more like $150 to $300 in reality.

I've been on the fence so long my ass has a new groove!!!

I'm not really an R/C pilot, I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last n

You do get a very nice Fiberglass canopy with the predator glow or gasser.

What engine is Bergen using in there gasser kits?
