Is it normal for the driven tail gear to drag on the auto hub on a Raptor 50V2. It seems like it should spin free of the hub and not rub against it. Is that not going to cause the main drive gear to turn along with the t/r gear during an auto. why even make the two seperate then? Seems to me that would use some energy. It does seem awfully tight.

Yah! that's exactly what I mean. I didn't think it was supposed to be that way. I will have to grind a little on the white gear to make it perfect I guess.

Mine did the same thing on mine i got some real fine sand paper 600 grit and sanded down the hub slightly. Then put it on the balancer just to double check it. That way if i have to replace the gear i won't have to re sand the new one.

Sand the white gear

There have been tons of posts on this subject. Check the search function for different threads.
The bottom line is the white gear is slightly small for the auto hub. Don't know why they can't fix it at the factory but either way, it's too small. I would rather sand the gear than remove metal from the hub. If you ever need to replace the gear and they fit correctly at that point, then it would be too loose on the hub. There are a few different ways to do it. I used a socket with some 80 grit emery paper wrapped around and pushed it in the hole of the white gear and turned the gear around the socket. It should move freely over the auto hub but not have any side play. Also, don't tighten the lower jesus bolt too much. It will distort the white gear. You may have to get a slightly longer bolt because on mine, the bolt stopped before the nylock portion of the nut.
