Be it not a real smart thing to be doing with lightning
Wish you lot would get your facts right before shooting your mouths off. He wasn't riding a bike in a thunder storm you know. The storm had stopped and the flying had started again. He got hit with freak lightning. It wouldn't have mattered if he'd been walking across the field or curled in a ball on the floor to avoid the lightning you can still get struck. The fact that he was riding a bike is completely irrelevant.

Terrible News!

I read about a similar accident here in the US sometime ago. A biker was riding a trail in what seem to be nice weather and was struck by lighting and killed. There was an investigation because it was so freakish. They went back and looked at the meteorological radar recordings for that area and sure enough there was a thunderstorm 30 miles away and they were able to actually pinpoint that the strike that killed him came from that storm that he wasn’t even aware of. Always ere on the side of safety when dealing with lightening.

Yes Tommy remove it at once..............I much rather prefer "French Toast" over Toasted English Muffins........................Come on guys RELAX!............... I just spoke to the obvious as a point, I did not poke fun at this poor bloke. The reference to "life is tough it is tougher when you're stupid" is directed to all of us in life's adventure. I don't have anything against this poor fella. I feel sad when I think of it. This is sure no way for anyone to die. However, it is still in very poor judgment to bike in a storm.................Now the tale has grown to be that he waited 20 min. after the storm to go get the glider. Perhaps he did perhaps he didn't. I don't know. But if he did, then lesson learned,................Wait an hour after a storm.

As I always say:

"Mistakes".................It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.
