after setting my bird up, i thought it was ready to fly. i was lucky to spot what looked like a very small crack on the tail rotor casing. it was a hard to see spot, being between the vertical tail fin and the tail casing. after taking it out, i found out the entire tail casing had broken in half. although my heli crashed once, i never noticed any damage in this area. the middle of the tail rotor casing is a fairly weak point. please take note and check this part before flying. don't want to know what happens when the tail rotor casing flies away midflight...

It is a shame but it is good that you caught it. We never really expect things like that to show up. Even though we do a pre and post flight check these things always surprise me.

One day I noticed that my JR switch case was cracked and when I touched it the whole thing just about came apart. Luckily this happened before I flew. Can you imagine what would have happened if it fell apart in mid flight?
