Hello

I know for a fact that the Piccolo Pro, Hornet V1 and V2, and Zoom can be "3D'ed" indoors. In the end, after you get all the equipment to make it fly well the will all be in the same ball park, around 800-900 bucks(lithum packs, HH gyro, decent servos, they all need some sort of upgrade, decent Rx [defintally stuff the best you can in the heli, i had a 770 SPCM in my Pic Pro], brushless motor/controller. I know that the Pro and Hornet will can do basic aerobatics, with enough inverted punch out, on the brushed motors but I defintally recommend going brushless.

Oh and yes your radio is find for all helicopters.

Cool, thanks for the reply :-)

wow.. thats more than i imagined... thats in the 50 size price bracket? more?

how much is stock? so how much do you need to "add" to get it flying well?

how is 3D on the batteries? flight time? charge time?

is one of the frustrating things i could see about electric, the wait for chargetime....

Hello

Man you have to start using the search function

wow.. thats more than i imagined... thats in the 50 size price bracket? more?

Micros can get quite expensive, its definitally just like the big copters, you pay for preformance.

how much is stock? so how much do you need to "add" to get it flying well?

A stock Pic Pro cost about 200 bucks.

Here is an example for a Piccolo Pro. For 3D flying I would recommend the following mechanical upgrades so that the heli preforms well and stays in one piece.

PMP Aluminum Head
PMP Delrin Main Gear with One Way and Ti shaft
PMP Swash and Slider(you dont really need this that badly but if you hit the ground a lot this will end up saving you money since it doesnt break)

Thats around 300 bucks in upgrades. There is also the Heli Hobby Core upgrade which includes similar items to those listed above for around 160 but you get what you pay for. If it was me Id probably give the HH stuff a chance, I think they have a money back guarentee but the PMP stuff is defintally high quality.

For me I prefered this heli to fly with a 2800+ RPM head speed and it was very crisp yet stable.

how is 3D on the batteries? flight time? charge time?

Flight time is from 8-12 mins depending on pack and flying style with an approiate(can handle the current loads of the drive system) LiPoly pack. The charge time is usually an hour minimum. As for the durability of the packs, if the pack is rated to handle the load you should get quite a few cycles out of the pack befor they need to be replaced.

is one of the frustrating things i could see about electric, the wait for chargetime....

Packs arent that expensive, get your self 2 or 3 and youll be set.

sorry for the n00b questions....

but thanks HEAPS for the reply Eco8gator definately a great help :-)

hmm sounds cool!

so.. unlike the big nitros..

it is possible to drop these puppies.. and sustain... little/no damage?

i saw some nuts footage of the dragonfly.. kept hitting the ground fall sideways... then just throttle up and spin teh blades to flick it back upright and continue flying?!?!?!

are the CP's as hardy?
