Anyone else have problems when CAing. Sometimes the CA will "smoke" the surrounding material looking almost frosted after the glue dries. It looks pretty crappy. I know epoxies are a little heavier, but they are so much cleanier. Or am I just using crappy CA 1.99$ stuff from hardware store. Are the techniques for good CAing.

CA will 'craze' a lot of plastics, that's the white smokey look you get. There are some CA's marketed as 'safe' for plastics, thicker and a slower cure time usually. What are you trying to glue?

CA will also make plastics brittle. For gluing clear and transparent plastics I use an elmers type white glue that dries clear and flexible but strong. Specifically made for joining canopies -n-things, got it at my local hobby shop. I will go tomorrow and see what its called and let you know.
